Obituary of ROBERT ELLIS OESCH

OESCH: Peacefully, at his residence, Robert “Bob” Ellis Oesch of Blake (RR 2, Zurich) in his 72nd year. Beloved husband of Barbara Anne (Glousher) Oesch. Loved father of David Gackstetter and friend Anjela McCool, Peggy and Wayne Smith. Cherished grandfather of Bailey and friend Stephen, Coleson, Kaleb and friend Rachel, Sadie-Ellen, Holly and Miya. Forever loved son of Vera Guenther and son-in-law of Ellen Smithers. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Jack Guenther, Jim Guenther and Mhairi Walsh, Betty and Joe O’Rourke, Barb Van Gorp and friend Mike, Betty Lippert, Jerry “Butch” Glousher, John and Marilyn Smithers. Remembered by his many nieces, nephews and their families, aunts Laureen Diebel, Ruth Walper, and Jean Anne Guenther. Bob was an animal lover, especially his donkey - Dinky Delton Delbert Dalton and Bob was always known for being the “unofficial” Mayor of Blake. Predeceased by his grandparents Dave and Fanny (Gascho) Oesch, step-father Lloyd Guenther, sister-in-law Mary Mathers and brother-in-law Earl Lippert. At Bob’s request, cremation has taken place. In lieu of funeral service, as per Bob’s wishes an Open House will be held at Bob and Barb’s home, 73613 Bronson Line, Blake on Saturday, March 4 and Sunday, March 5 beginning at 11 a.m. both days. Arrangements entrusted to the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood. If desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to the Humane Society or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
