Obituary of RUTH JULENE WITHERSPOON

WITHERSPOON: Unexpectedly, but peacefully, at her residence, on April 7, 2017, Ruth Julene (Schade) Witherspoon, of Grand Bend, age 78. Beloved wife of the late Carl Lewis Witherspoon (1990). Loved mother of Randy Witherspoon and Marlyn Wein of Minto, Teri Lynn Witherspoon and the late Blair Tisdale of London, Tami Lee and Brad Daters of Lucan, Todd Witherspoon of Grand Bend. Cherished grandma of Aaron Daters and Kaley Jennison-Daters and the late David Daters (2001). Dear sister and sister-in-law of Jack and Nile Schade, Bob Park and Anne Schade. Predeceased by her parents Erwin and Greta (Horner) Schade, sister Carol Park and brother Bill Schade. Ruth was born in Dashwood, raised her family on a farm near Crediton and retired to Grand Bend. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., where the Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye. If desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to Children’s Hospital of Southwestern Ontario in memory of her Grandson David or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
