SANDILANDS: Peacefully, at Blue Water Rest Home, Zurich, on Monday, November 9, 2015, Guy Peter Sandilands formerly of Grand Bend and Exeter, age 95. Beloved husband of Barbara Ann (Fisk) Sandilands of Blue Water Rest Home. Dear father and father-in-law of David Sandilands of Toronto, Missy and Glenn Pfaff of Dashwood. Cherished papa of Jessica Pfaff and friend Andrew Gill, Kelly Pfaff and Rebekah Pfaff. Dear brother of Joan Miedema of Barrie. Favourite uncle of Timothy and Gail, Jennifer and Gary, Christopher and Margaret, Robin and Dee, and their families. Fondly remembered by his dear friend and care-giver Elaine Ducharme. Predeceased by his parents Guy and Ruth (Walker) Sandilands and brother-in-law Lewis Miedema. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Friday, from 4 to 8 p.m., where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Glenda Meakin Officiating. Interment Calvary United Church Cemetery, Dashwood. Peter and Barb ran the Havasu Trading Post in Grand Bend for many years. In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial donations payable to O.S.P.C.A, Blue Water Rest Home or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
