Obituary of Pat Soldan

SOLDAN:  Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, at London Health Sciences Centre – Victoria Hospital, on Thursday, May 11, 2017, John Patrick “Pat” Soldan of Grand Bend, age 71.  Beloved husband and best friend of Sharon Dianne (Lightfoot) Soldan.  Loved father and father-in-law of Tracy and Ron Spratt of Windsor and Jason and Karla Soldan of London.  Cherished Poppa of Lukas Soldan and Maya Soldan.  Dear brother and brother-in-law of Mike and Barb Soldan of Exeter.  Loved uncle of Sue Anne and Chris Beckett, Jodi and Patrick Regier, Ryan and Susan Soldan and their families.  Predeceased by his parents John Henry “Jack” (1993) and Victoria “Tory” Emma (Bolton) Soldan (1979).  At Pat’s request, cremation has taken place.  Visitation will be held at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., where the Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.  Interment Exeter Cemetery.  Pat was a long time educator and Elementary Principal with the Huron County Board of Education. He was a member of the former Grand Bend Lions Club.  Pat’s favourite things to do were go to the beach and watch the sunsets with Sharon, travel and spend time with his family. If desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to Humane Society, Children’s Wish Foundation, South Huron Hospital Foundation – Jessica House or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
