Obituary of F. Maisie Baxter
BAXTER: Peacefully, at Blue Water Rest Home, Zurich, on Sunday, July 16, 2017, Frances Maisie (Thrasher) Baxter of RR 1, Dashwood, formerly of Toronto and Windsor, in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Charles Evans Baxter (July 14, 2016). Loved mother Barbara Clark of Grand Bend, Joan Trusler and her husband John of Jupiter, Florida. Cherished grandmother of Robert Clark and Heather Wakeman, Evan Clark, Camille and Derek Sweitzer. Treasured great-grandmother of Isla Clark, Malin Clark, Zachary Sweitzer, Nicholas Sweitzer and Lucas Sweitzer. Dear sister-in-law of Mary Baxter of Hanover, Eleanor Baxter of Essex. Remembered by her many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents Ernest and Ada Belle (Richardson) Thrasher, brother Ernest C. Thrasher, sisters Gladys and Jim Morneau, Mildred and Arch Weber, Lillian and Rennie Blackshaw Isabelle and Murray Crowe. At Maisie’s request, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date, location and time to be announced. Maisie was an active member of Anglican Churches in Windsor, London, Toronto and Grand Bend and most recently she loved her work with the Alter Guild at St. John’s By-The-Lake. As well as time with her family and friends, she enjoyed playing tennis, her bridge club and her career as assistant to the Superintendent of the North York Board of Education, Toronto.
