Obituary of Jack Nelemans
NELEMANS: Peacefully, after a long journey following a double lung transplant, at Toronto General Hospital, on Thursday, January 31, 2019, Jacob “Jack” William Nelemans, of Grand Bend, formerly of Listowel, age 72. Beloved husband of Lorraine Mary (Higgins) Nelemans. Loved father and father-in-law of Christine Coombs and Bryan Baker of Grand Bend and Jerry and Kenda Nelemans of Birr. Cherished grandfather of late Wesley Jacob Coombs (1997), Jenna Coombs, Wade Coombs, Kolby Smith, Hannah Nelemans and Libby Nelemans. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Tena and Sylvester Moser, Neil and Ingrid Nelemans, Jim and Virginia Nelemans, Ron and Carol Nelemans and Ann Neilman (Nelemans), Bill and Bonnie Higgins, John and Kim Higgins and Barb Higgins. Remembered by his many nieces, nephews and their families. Jack will be fondly remembered by all of his friends in Grand Cove Estates, Grand Bend, Live Oak, Florida and all the Horse Community and the Dairy Farmers that he crossed paths with. Predeceased by his parents Jacob and Joan (DeKivit) Nelemans, brother John Neilman (Nelemans) and brother-in-law Bob Higgins. At Jack’s request, cremation has taken place. A come and go, Celebration of Jack’s life will be held at the Grand Cove Estates Clubhouse, Grand Bend, on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 1 to 4 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood. If desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to the Toronto General and Western Hospital – Lung Transplant program would be appreciated by the family.
