MARSHALL:  Unexpectedly, but peacefully, James “Jim” William Marshall of Grand Bend and formerly of Sarnia, passed away at Stratford General Hospital, on Friday, September 5, 2025, surrounded with the love of his family, age 81.  Beloved husband of Leslie May Marshall.  Loved father and father-in-law and grandpa of Mike & Jeanette Marshall (Jim, Matt and Joe) and Beth Gillis (Vince and Molly and proud  great grandpa of Marshall Knowles and Ozzy Knowles .  Dear brother and brother-in-law of Gary Marshall and the late Gloria of Stratford, the late Gail Mathers & her husband Robert of Sarnia, remembered by Leslie’s siblings, Ada & John Pavia of Grand Bend, Jim & Margie Akiens of Strathroy and Pat Akiens of Parkhill and Leslie’s children, Pamela Werner (Chris) of Belle River and their children Justin (Megan), Mathew (Rachel), Dan (Bryn), Steven Smith (Lori) of Parkhill and their children Logan and David (Heather) and great grandfather to Alex and Lily.  At Jim’s request cremation will take place and no formal services will be held.  Jim was a proud and  long time member of Local #663 of the Pipe and Steam Fitter Union in Sarnia.
