VOOGEL:  Peacefully, after losing his battle with Huntington’s Disease, at Bluewater Health – Sarnia, on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, Richard Andrew Voogel, age 56.  Beloved Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend.  Fondly remembered by his brother Ron and Cyndi Voogel of Alberta, stepfamily and nieces, nephews and their families.  Predeceased by his parents Ted (2010) and Ria (Ojevaar) Voogel (1988), stepmom Judy Voogel (2021) and brother Frank Voogel (2018).  With deep gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff for their unwavering compassion, dedication and care during Richard’s final days.  Their kindness and support made a difficult time more bearable.  Following cremation, Richard will be laid to rest with his mother Ria, alongside his brother Frank in the Goshen Line Calvary Public Cemetery, Dashwood.  “When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.” If desired memorial donations (payable directly) to the Huntington Society  would be appreciated by the family.  Arrangements entrusted to the T.
