Obituary of MARY ADELLE BROWN

BROWN: Mary Adelle (nee Blackley) Brown, R.N. of Grand Bend, Ontario. Passed away peacefully, at Stratford General Hospital, Stratford, on Friday, October 23, 2015, at the age of 91, surrounded by love and adoration, on the 22nd anniversary of Joe Carter’s 1993 World Series-clinching home run. A diehard Toronto Blue Jays fan, Mary was born, February 26, 1924 in Emsdale, Ontario and trained as a nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Toronto. Predeceased by her husband Rae Howison Brown (June 2, 1993), parents Albert David Blackley and Netta Amelia Wallace, siblings Frances Glenna Brown, Cathryn Armstrong and David Blackley. Lovingly remembered by her 11 nieces, nephews, numerous grand-nieces and nephews. Mary had a magical spirit and touched many lives. Per Mary’s wishes, cremation will take place with no services to be held, private family interment Woodland Cemetery, London. In lieu of flowers, donations payable to the Children’s Wish Foundation or Stratford General Hospital, whose incredibly kind and compassionate staff ensured her last days were comfortable.
