Obituary of Robert John Rowcliffe
ROWCLIFFE: Peacefully, at his residence, Wednesday, November 15, 2006, surrounded by the love of his family, after a courageous fight with cancer, Robert John Rowcliffe, age 51, of Grand Bend, formerly of Hensall. Beloved husband and best friend of Karrie (Conlon) Rowcliffe. Loved father of Chris Rowcliffe of Hensall, Ashley Rowcliffe and companion Mark Harris of Clinton, Ryan Rowcliffe of Hensall, Joey Forrester and companion Stephanie McClennan of Grand Bend, Jonathan and Shelly Forrester of Hensall. Loving grandpa of Hannah Forrester, Preston Harris and Morgan Hendriks. Dear son of Doreen (Elliott) Rowcliffe of Hensall and the late Bob Rowcliffe (2005), and brother and brother-in-law of Pat and Wayne Campbell of Hensall, David and Kelly Rowcliffe of London, Barb Conlon and companion Dan Mudge of Grand Bend, Shari and David Groot of Chatham. Loved son-in-law of Barbara Conlon and companion John McKeon of London. Also remembered by his nieces, nephews and their families. At John’s request, his body has been bequeathed to the Department of Anatomy, University of Western Ontario, London. John’s final resting place will be with his family at Hensall Union Cemetery. A Celebration of his Life will take place at the Oakwood Inn Resort, Terrace Room, Grand Bend, Sunday, November 26, 2006, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a Memorial Service commencing at 3 p.m. Mr. Bob Heywood officiating. John retired from the family founded firm of Rowcliffe Trucking in Hensall.
