Obituary of William Rowcliffe
ROWCLIFFE: Peacefully, at the residence of his grandson, with family by his side, on Sunday, July 21, 2019, William “Bill” Lorne Rowcliffe, formerly of RR 1, Hensall, 9 days before his 100th birthday. Beloved husband of 69 years to the late Mary Kathleen (Borland) Rowcliffe (2013). Loved father of Garry Rowcliffe of Exeter. Dear grandfather of Chris Rowcliffe of Wallaceburg and his grand-daughter-in-law Jayne Rowcliffe of RR 1, Hensall. Cherished great-grandfather of Sidney Rowcliffe and Mitchell Rowcliffe. Dear brother-in-law of Betty Borland of Exeter. Bill will be remembered by his many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his daughter-in-law Patricia “Pat” (Rankin) Rowcliffe, parents Charles Hector and Laura (Hewitt) Rowcliffe, his sister Audrey Scott and Mary’s siblings and their spouses. A private family graveside service will be held on Wednesday July 24, 2019 at the McTaggart Cemetery, Usborne Township. Mr. Bob Heywood officiating. Arrangements entrusted to the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood. If desired, memorial donations to Alzheimer Society or Thames Road – Elimville United Church would be appreciated by the family.
