Obituary of Garry Wayne Rumball

RUMBALL:  Peacefully, at Stratford General Hospital, on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, Garry Wayne Rumball, of Dashwood, age 78.  Beloved husband of Shirley Helen (Lendvai) Rumball.  Loved father and father-in-law of Janice and David Best of Grand Bend, Wayne and Marianne Rumball of France and Pam Rumball of Hensall.  Cherished grandpa of Laura and Tatsuya Soto of Japan, Marina and Chris Best of Grand Bend, Samual Rumball, Pauline Rumball both of France and Claire Rumball of Hensall.  Treasured great-grandpa of Sora Best.  Dear brother and brother-in-law of Jim Rumball of Lambeth, Bill and Margaret Rumball of Coldwater, Peter and Rose Rumball of RR 1, Centralia, Steve and Ruth Lendvai, Pearl Szakonyi and step-brother of Joe and Carry Fowler all of Windsor.  Remembered by his nieces, nephews and their families.  Predeceased by his parents Leonard Livingston Rumball and Viola Elizabeth (Thompson) Fowler, step-father John Fowler, sisters-in-law Susan Rumball, Mary Fox, Olga Carter and brother-in-law Ed Szakonyi.  At Garry’s request, cremation has taken place.  Private family Interment Grand Bend Cemetery.  Garry worked for many years at Dashwood Industries and owned and operated Country Diner and Gas Bar in Dashwood with his wife Shirley for 9 years.  Arrangements entrusted to the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood.  If desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to South Huron Hospital, Exeter or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
