Remembering my dear Krustmāte at this sad time. She was the closest that I had to a mom and a grandma for most of my life. My Krustmāte’s ever-present positive outlook and cheerfulness, despite life’s challenges, will continue to inspire me. She sang “Happy Birthday” to me over the phone each year, even at 103!
