Obituary of Rev. William Robert Peebles

PEEBLES: Peacefully, into the arms of his Lord and Saviour, at Lookout Ridge Retirement Home, Fonthill, Wednesday, August 11, 2010, Rev. Robert “Bob” Peebles, formerly of the Exeter area, age 89. Beloved husband of Doris (Stockdale) Peebles. Loved father of Kenneth and Amandah Peebles of Strathmore, Alberta, Paul and Dawn Peebles of Welland and Carol Peebles of Calgary. Loving grandfather of Kenneth Jr. and Marnie, Taylor, Kurtis, Ian and Mitchell. Predeceased by his sisters Catherine and Margaret Peebles, brother James Peebles, parents William and Mary (Allison) Peebles. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Saturday, August 14, 2010, commencing at 10 a.m. followed by the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. The Rev. Kevin Rutledge officiating. Interment Exeter Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Rev. Peebles served in the ministry with the United Church for 30 plus years in several communities in Northern and Southern Ontario.
