Obituary of Noreen McCann

McCANN: Peacefully, at the Blue Water Rest Home, Zurich, Thursday, January 12, 2012, Noreen (Sheahan) McCann, formerly of Mount Carmel, age 87. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence Joseph McCann (1972). Loved mother and mother-in-law of Pat (2003) and Lynne McCann, Larry and Barb McCann, Helen and Wayne (2009) Miller, Jerry and Sherry McCann, Mary Jo McCann and Chuck Robertson and Rob McCann. Loving grandmother of Jeff (Ryan), Denis (Dawn), Kris (Mandy), Paddy, Laura (Doug), Clint (Bonnie), Nathan (Julie), Sarah (Jarrett), Kyle (Anna), Emily (Brad), Katherine, Andrew (Tammy), Joshua, Nadine, Jolene and Xia Sha. Great-grandmother of Ethan, Avery, Grace, Chloe, Mya, Nolan, Calvin, Leah, Quinn, Ayla, Eli, Patrick, Brayden and Lyla. Dear sister-in-law of Yvonne Sheahan, Ruby and Herb Person, Theresa, Nell and Irene McCann and her many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her brothers Father PJ, Gerard, Bernard, Dan, Leonard and Alphonse Sheahan, sister Margaret Enright. Widowed and while raising a family, Noreen returned to school and graduated as a RNA in 1976. She nursed at South Huron Hospital for 13 years and retired. In retirement Noreen enjoyed many activities, including golfing, travelling, card games and her biggest pride and joy, her extended family. Noreen was a member of the CWL for over 60 years. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Friday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Mount Carmel, Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Father Len Desjardins Celebrant. Interment Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to Community Living South Huron, Our Lady of Mt.
