Obituary of Harold Edward Morgan Freele
FREELE: Peacefully at home, Residence On The Thames, Chatham, Friday, May 25, 2012, Harold Edward Morgan Freele, formerly of Grand Bend, age 87. Beloved husband of Nancy Ruth (Gordon) Freele. Loved father and father-in-law of Bill and Deborah Freele of London, Deborah Freele of Toronto, Morgan and Thania Freele of Zurich, Karen Freele of Chatham, Maureen Freele-Kieley of Burlington and Ruth and Luc Burnham of Peterborough. Remembered by fifteen grandchildren and their spouses, three great-grandchildren who are all loved as part of Morgan and Nancy’s family, as well as nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by sisters Betty Rogers, Mary Graham, brother Bill Freele, parents Lloyd William Morgan and Margaret (Leitch) Freele. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at St. John’s-By-The-Lake Anglican Church, Grand Bend, Friday, June 1, 2012 at 12 noon. The Rev. Grayhame Bowcott officiating. If desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to St. John’s-By-The-Lake Anglican Church or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. For the past few years, gardening, their love of the outdoors and playing bridge at the Port Franks Duplicate Bridge Club, attending at St. John’s Church and enjoying music and theatre in Blyth, Stratford and Grand Bend all added to the quality of life spent in Grand Bend. Morgan had received a B.S.c. from the UWO. He then attended School of Social Work at the University of Toronto where he obtained his Master’s Degree. He served in the RCAF from 1941 to 1945 and was a member of the Grand Bend Legion. T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, entrusted with arrangements.
