Obituary of William David Newton

NEWTON: Peacefully, at his residence, Sunday, July 15, 2012, William “Bill” “FIG” David Newton, of Dalton Subdivision, Grand Bend, age 72. Dear brother of Bob and Doris Newton of Denver, Colorado and Joy Rodriguez of Bramalea. Remembered by his nieces, nephew, their families, long time friends Colleen and Russel, many neighbours and social friends in the Grand Bend Community and his canine companion “Nipper.” Predeceased by his brother Neil Newton, parents Norman A. and Lillian R. (Hill) Newton. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Wednesday, July 18, 2012 from 5 to 9 p.m. followed by cremation. A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held in Grand Bend (date, time and location to be announced). Bill was a long time member of the Grand Bend Yacht Club serving in many positions. As per Bill’s wishes his ashes will be scattered on his beloved Lake Huron. If desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
