Obituary of Ingeborg Gallant
GALLANT: 1927 – 2012 Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, Thursday, August 23, 2012, after a courageous battle with pneumonia, Ingeborg (Armbruster) Gallant, of Southcott Pines, Grand Bend. Beloved wife of the late George Vincent Gallant, Sr. (1992). Survived by two sons, Vern Gallant (Anne Oakley) of London, George Gallant (Peter McLay) of London, Will be missed by her partner Carl Vincent of Grand Bend and her chosen daughter Karen Clackett of RR 2, Grand Bend. Remembered by her grand and great-grandchildren. Born in Dortmund, Germany in 1927, Inge survived the war and more than her share of life’s difficulties, with incomparable courage and determination. Her family, friends, and those who will remember her from the Moulin Rouge restaurant in Grand Bend, will miss her love and support, her sense of style, her chicken soup, and “that look” that she gave you that transcended words.
