SHAW: Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia, Sunday, December 2, 2012, James “Jim” Shaw of Grand Bend, formerly of Brantford, age 86. Beloved husband of Margaret F. (McLay) Shaw. Loved father and father-in-law of Marian and Roger Kenyon of Toronto, Susan Todd of Grand Bend, Angela Shaw and Jamie Shaw, both of London, June Shaw and partner Steve Pelletier of Hamilton. Loving grandpa of Fiona and Emma Kenyon, Sophia and Jack Leonard. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Samuel Shaw of England, Bertie and Peggy Shaw of Ladysmith, BC, Margaret Shaw of Ireland and Robert Scott of Scotland. Predeceased by his son-in-law Jim Todd, brothers Alexander Shaw, Jackie Shaw, sister Isabel Scott, parents Alexander and Mary (Knox) Shaw. A graduate of Glasgow University, Jim was a schoolteacher in Scotland before emigrating with his family to Canada in 1969, Jim also taught at North Park Secondary in Brantford. The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to CCAC of Sarnia and to St. Joseph’s Hospice for their exemplary care in Jim’s final days. At the request of the deceased, cremation will take place. A private family remembrance will be held at a later date. If desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to the Adult Day Care Centre, Grand Bend or St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia would be appreciated. T.
