Obituary of Stefan Pertschy

PERTSCHY; Peacefully at Craigweil Gardens Nursing Home, Ailsa Craig on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, Stefan “Steve” Pertschy formerly of RR 1, Crediton, age 82. Beloved husband of 60 years of Erika (Martin) Pertschy of RR 1, Crediton. Loved father and father-in-law of MaryAnne Pertschy of Exeter, Robert Pertschy and Jo Anne Brierley of Crediton, Elizabeth and Kevin Dingeldein of Toronto. Cherished ‘Oda’ of Christine Pertschy and Anthony Shuglo, Carissa and Dave Desjardine, Danielle Pertschy and Lesley Moore, Melissa Pertschy and great-granddaughter Maddy Desjardine. Dear brother-in-law of Robert and Bernice Martin of Crediton, Peter and Sandra Martin of Amherstburg. He will be remembered by his many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Franz and Anna (Klemm) Pertschi, sisters Maria Morsch, Anna Eberhardt and 2 infant brothers. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood Thursday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 11 a.m. Pastor David Friesen Waldner Officiating. Interment Exeter Cemetery. Steve was a long time farmer, he worked in construction and served on the Board of Directors for Hay Mutual Insurance.
