OSTERLOO: LORD, you assigned me my portion and my cup, you have made my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places. Surely I have a delightful inheritage. Psalm 16: 5-6. Peacefully at South Huron Hospital, Exeter on Friday July 18, 2014, William “Bill” Osterloo of Exeter, age 70. Beloved husband of Jean (Geerlinks) Osterloo. Loved step-father and step-father-in-law of Cheryl and George Poortinga of Clinton, Mark King and partner Michele of Brampton. Cherished grandpa of Jamie Nicole, Philip and Keith all of Clinton. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Broer and Be Oosterloo of Bedum, Netherlands, Ina Osterloo of Brampton, Bert and Grace Geerlinks, John and Jane Geerlinks all of Drayton, Fred and Jenny Geerlinks of Brampton, Rita Geerlinks of High River, AB, Mary and Henry Eygenraam of Unionville, Harry and Betty Geerlinks of Wingham. Bill is survived by his many cousins, nieces and nephews in Canada and in the Netherlands. Predeceased by his parents Willem and Nijsien (Roffel) Oosterloo, brother Peter Osterloo (1998), sister Sien Lergner (2007), brothers-in-law Anton Lergner (2013) and George Geerlinks (2009). Visitation will be held at Providence United Reformed Church, 447 Second St., Strathroy, on Wednesday evening, July 23, 2014, from 6 to 9 p.m. A Service for Immediate family and friends will be held at T. HARRY HOFFMAN & SONS Funeral Home, Dashwood, on Thursday morning at 10 a.m. followed by the Interment in Exeter Cemetery. A Public Funeral Service will be held at PROVIDENCE UNITED REFORMED CHURCH, Strathroy, on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 2 p.m. Pastor Harry Zekveld Officiating. Bill served as an Officer with the Ontario Provincial Police from June 1967 to July 1996. If desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to the Hope Academy (a private mission school for children of all backgrounds and religions JK to grade 6), 30 Carrier Dr, Etobicoke or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
