Obituary of Everett Davelaar
DAVELARR: Peacefully, at his residence on Thursday, October 30, 2014, Everett Davelaar of RR 2, Grand Bend, formerly of Mount Brydges and Strathroy, in his 85th year. Beloved husband of 29 years and best friend of Marlene Davelaar. Loved father and father-in-law of Irene (Steve) Lindsay, Peter (Lona) Davelaar, Daniel (Irene) Davelaar and Dawn Wilson. Cherished grandpa of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and their families. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Bertha, Melia (Cornelis), Jans (Gijs), Cecilia (Gijs), Rinus (Pea), Ans and Eef all of Holland. Predeceased by his parents Peter and Arisje (van Ravenhorst) Davelaar, brothers Bertus and Peter and sister Woutje all of Holland. At Everett’s request cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood on Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 2 to 5 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at the Parkhill Community Centre, 224 McLeod St., Parkhill, on Monday, November 3, 2014, at 11 a.m. with visiting one hour prior at the Community Centre. Mr. Peter Challen Officiating. Interment Parkhill Cemetery. Everett owned and operated The Dunes Oakridge Park (Northville) and Pineview Mobile Park (Hwy. 21, Grand Bend) for many years. In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to the Salvation Army, South Huron Big Brothers and Big Sisters, or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
