ROOD: Suddenly at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, on Friday, January 11, 2002, Theodora Maria “Dora” (Grootjen) Rood of R. R. #2, Grand Bend, in her 72nd year. Beloved wife of Cornelius Antonius “Carl” Rood. Loving mother of Gerard and Sue Rood; Theo and Diane Rood; Paul and Pam Rood; Diana and Dave Jeffery. Loving Oma of Tina and Brian; Lianne, Warren and Sherry, Jeremy, Steele; Tim, Chris, Ryan, Michelle and Bradley; and great-oma of Caleb. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Jean and Theo Kelders, Bill and Willy Grootjen, John and Anne Grootjen, Trudy Boon, 1 brother and 1 sister in Holland, 4 sisters-in-law and 4 brothers-in-law in Holland and France. Predeceased by brother-in-law John Boon; 1 brother and 1 sister and 1 brother-in-law and 1 sister-in-law in Holland. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Monday afternoon and evening. Catholic Women League prayers Monday at 6:45 P.M. followed by parish prayers at 7 P.M. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Grand Bend, on Tuesday, January 15, 2002 at 11 A.M. The Rev. Father Paul J. Beck Celebrant.
