Obituary of Gerald Ivan Eagleson

EAGLESON: Peacefully, at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, on Thursday, December 12, 2002, Gerald Ivan “Jerry” Eagleson of R. R. #1, Thedford, in his 72nd year. Beloved husband of Leona (O’Neill) Eagleson. Loving father to Lesa and Randy Romphf of Chepstow. Grandfather to Jenny Romphf and friend Dan, Steven Romphf and friend Julie. Dear son of Beatrice (Statton) Eagleson of Blue Water Rest Home, Zurich and the late Bruce Eagleson (1964). Sadly missed by his sister Mary Lou and Doug Dixon of Centralia, brother Jack and Joan Eagleson of Grand Bend, brother-in-law Bill and Barb Mercer of Aylmer. Predeceased by infant son Daniel (1952) and sister Kathryn Mercer (1994). Remembered by his aunts, uncles, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and their families. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Friday afternoon and evening. Royal Canadian Legion, Grand Bend Branch No. 498 will hold a service at the Funeral Home Friday at 6:45 p.m. and where the Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2002 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Harry Disher officiating. Interment Grand Bend Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Cancer Society or charity of choice would be appreciated. Jerry was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge No. 2010, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and Doric Lodge No. 233, Parkhill.
