Obituary of Stanley R. Jones

JONES: Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, on Friday, June 13, 2003, Stanley “Stan” R. Jones of Grand Cove Estates, Grand Bend, formerly of Fruitland, Ontario, in his 76th year. Beloved husband of the late Isabella “Isa” (Wardrope) Jones (1994). Loved father of Carol Black of Stoney Creek, Craig and Lisa Jones of Grimsby, Stephen Jones of Stoney Creek. Loving grandad of Joshua and Shane Black and Austin Jones. Beloved companion and fiancé of Lilian Burgess of Grand Cove Estates. Dear brother-in-law of David and Margaret Anderson and their family of Cayuga. Also remembered by the Wardrope and Jones families in the U.K. Stan was an active volunteer/coach of Saltfleet Women’s Softball, a founding member of Saltfleet Go-Ahead Soccer, was the O.M.H.A. convenor for Saltfleet Minor Hockey Association and involved in Grand Cove and local Church activities. Cremation. A Memorial Service will be held at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, (519-237-3532) on Wednesday, June 18, 2003 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Harry Disher officiating.
