Obituary of Irene Magdalene Yeoman

YEOMAN: Peacefully, at her son’s residence in Breslau, Wednesday, April 21, 2004, Irene Magdalene (Ellig) Yeoman, of Grand Bend, formerly of Kitchener, age 69. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Wilfred Yeoman (1998). Loved mother of Cathy and Shawn Maxwell of Kitchener, Tom and Debbie Yeoman of Breslau, Linda and Chris Hiebert of Paris, Rod Yeoman and Lori Hodder of Drayton, Cheryl Groulx and Stuart Schneider of Waterloo. Loved and remembered by her 11 grandchildren. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Mary Metcalf, Pat and Bob Voegtle, Larry and Myra Ellig, Anne Ellig, Shirley and Adam Schmidt, all of Kitchener. Remembered by her nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents Clemence and Rosetta (Rettinger) Ellig, sister Ruth Stuebing, infant sister Magdalene Ellig and brother Jack Ellig. Cremation. Visitation will be held at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood (519-237-3532), Sunday evening 6 to 8 p.m. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Grand Bend, Monday, April 26, 2004 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Father John Kulathinkal Celebrant. Interment of ashes at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener. If desired, memorial donations to the Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of choice would be appreciated. Irene retired from Canadian Tire, Kitchener, in 1994 and volunteered for many years at the Royal Canadian Legion and the Huron Country Playhouse in Grand Bend.
