Obituary of Alfred James Weaver

WEAVER: Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, Tuesday, July 6, 2004, Alfred James “Jim” Weaver, 63, of Pinedale Subdivision, RR 2, Grand Bend, formerly of Mississauga (Lorne Park). Beloved husband of Mary (Barbisan) Weaver. Loved father of Kelly Weaver of Willowdale, Kerry Weaver of Ingersoll and Amy Weaver of Grand Bend. Loving grandpa of Jeffery and Michael Weaver. Dear son of Pearl (Oliphant) Weaver of Port Credit and the late Alfred Joseph Weaver (1997), brother and brother-in-law of Bill and Elizabeth Weaver of Aurora, Anne and Tim Hill of Burks Falls. He will be missed by special companions Bandit, Bubba and Peewee. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood (519-237-3532), with visitation Sunday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.; where the Funeral Service will be held Monday, July 12, 2004 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Keith Kiddell, Chaplain of Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services officiating. Cremation. Jim’s service began with the Clarkson Volunteer Fire Department, followed by a career position in 1963 with the Toronto Township Fire Department, Lorne Park Division, which was amalgamated in 1974 and now known as Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services, retiring as Captain with over 32 years service. Jim resided in Grand Bend for 16 years and was known as the “Bike Man.” If desired, memorial donations to the Cancer Society or charity of choice would be appreciated.
