Obituary of Edith May Baker

BAKER: Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, Sunday, June 26, 2005, Edith May (Guenther) Baker, of Exeter Villa, formerly of Dashwood, age 97. Beloved wife of the late Sydney “Syd” V. Baker (1985). Predeceased by her son Jackie (1939), sisters Letta Taylor, Rose Huffman and Florence Webb, brothers Harry, Melvin, Jack and Irvin Guenther and her parents Charles and Laura (Burke) Guenther. Lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and their families. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Tuesday, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.; where the Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Alex McGilvery officiating. Interment Exeter Cemetery. Order of the Eastern Star, Exeter Chapter, No. 222 will hold a service at the funeral home Tuesday at 6:45 p.m. If desired memorial donations to Calvary United Church, Dashwood or charity of choice would be appreciated. Edith was a long-time member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Women’s Institute, 4-H Club and the United Church Women.
