Obituary of Paul Patrick Houston
HOUSTON: Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, Saturday, November 26, 2005, Paul Patrick Houston B.A., M.E., age 69, of Grand Bend, formerly of London and Ingersoll. Born October 13, 1936 in Sault Ste. Marie and moved at an early age to Ingersoll. Paul was a teacher, physical education specialist and principal in the London and Middlesex Separate School System for 37 years before retiring full time to Grand Bend, in 1991. Although he was a very private individual, Paul was well known to many Grand Bend residents and vacationers for his dry sense of humour and his familiar glass of coke at local restaurants and bars. Survived by brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Dianne Houston of Campbellville, nieces and nephews Maureen Houston of Belleville, Chris Houston of Italy, Mark Houston of Calgary, Sarah Houston of France, Christine Hawkrigg of Etobicoke and Vincent Houston of Stoney Creek and their families. Paul’s quiet presence will be missed by all. Predeceased by parents Patrick and Margaret (Connelly) Houston of Ingersoll and brother Bernard Houston of Stratford. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Tuesday evening 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Grand Bend, Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Father Francis Thekkumkattil C.S.T. Celebrant. Following cremation, burial will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Ingersoll. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of choice would be appreciated.
