Obituary of Ross John Leakey

LEAKEY: Peacefully, at his residence, surrounded by the love of his family, Monday, July 31, 2006, Ross John Leakey, age 84, of Grand Cove Estates, Grand Bend, formerly of St. Thomas, London, Exeter and Zurich. Beloved husband of Marion Beatrice (Arrand) Leakey. Loved father and father-in-law of Ron and Margaret Leakey, Garry and Carol Leakey, all of Huron Woods, RR 2, Grand Bend, Judy and Joost Gragtmans of Stoney Point. Loving grandpa of Joshua, Adrienne, Chris, Katie and Chad Leakey, Cara Gragtmans, Daniel Gragtmans, Elissa and Danny Jancevski. Remembered by former daughter-in-law Kate Reid. Predeceased by his brother-in-law Harold Arrand. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Wednesday, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday, August 3, 2006 from 10:30 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. The Rev. Harry Disher officiating. Interment Exeter Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the London Regional Cancer Centre, Grand Bend Health Centre or Grand Bend United Church would be appreciated. Ross was a former member of the Army Medical Corps during WW II and Grand Bend Probus Club.
