Obituary of Terence John Blundell

BLUNDELL: Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, Wednesday, December 2, 2009, Terence “Terry” John Blundell, of Grand Bend, formerly of Sarnia, age 67. Beloved husband of Sandra Mary (Levesque) Blundell. Dear father and father-in-law of John Blundell and Minsook Lee of Toronto, Stacey Blundell and Guy Pomerleau of Montreal, Amy Blundell and Mark Mundy of Sarnia. Loving grandfather of Charlie Gray, Song-Ji Lee Blundell, Benjamin Pomerleau and Tyler Mundy. Dear brother of Sharron Hastings of Hamilton, Neil and Shirley Blundell of Winnipeg, Tom and Bonnie Blundell of North Bay, Randy and Joyce Blundell and Blake Blundell, all of Red Deer, AB. Also remembered by his many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his brother Barry (infancy), brother-in-law Jack Hastings, sister-in-law Tracey Blundell, parents Thomas and Beatrice (Phillips) Blundell. Cremation. Visitation will be held at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, on Sunday afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m.; where a Celebration of Terry’s life will be held on Monday, December 7, 2009 at 11 a.m. If desired, memorial donations to South Huron Hospital Foundation or charity of choice would be appreciated. Terry retired as President of Lambton College in 2002, was past President of the Sarnia-Lambton Council for Economic Renewal, a member of the Executive Committee for the Industrial Education Cooperative, the Council for Aboriginal Education, and was a member of the Steering Committee that founded the Sarnia Sports and Entertainment Complex.
