They walk beside us everyday,

On behalf of the Grand Bend Prayer Shawl Group, I would like to extend our sympathy to the Eagleson family. Joan was a member of this group and over the years she created some beautiful shawls which she gave to family or to someone who needed a reminder that others care. She always enjoyed meeting with the ladies and having a chat. Even after she was unable to attend, she kept up her knitting at home. She was a remarkable lady and we will miss her.

FAREWELL JOAN October 30, 2022
Farewell, Mrs. Joan Eagleson
How quickly time has flown.
You barely turned 90, when God called you home.
You loved life, and your family,
and raised your children to be second to none.
Never sat down, found something that needed to be done.
You were a passionate gardener, and made it lot of fun.
And in spare time, busy by the pool, enjoying the sun.
With Jack, you’ve built the Old Orchard Park,
And made it your home.
Lot of talent, kindness, and generosity you have shown.
You’ve created lasting memories, being loyal to the bone
Solid, independent, - a strong cornerstone.
Now, another dimension for you has begun.
We have gathered here to accept what cannot be undone.
To celebrate your life, reminisce, and mourn.
Hoping you see from above,
That you are surrounded by love.

So sorry to hear of Joan's passing. I have such fond memories of Joan in the bakeshop in Grand Bend first while visiting and then while working with her. When I moved to the Bend her bright smile was such a warm welcome along with her sense of humour. Condolences to the family. Thinking of you all.

Dear Mike, Julia and families
Our deepest sympathies to all of you at this sad time. I hope your memories bring a smile to your face as it has to ours when remembering our visits with your Mom and Dad over the years and especially when our Mom, Pauline lived in the same building. Their attention and caring made a big impact on her every day. We enjoyed lots of fishing stories and got great gardening tips from a great lady. Forever in our hearts. Eugene, Jean and Family

To Joan’s family;
Please accept our deepest sympathy at your loss of a mother, grandmother and friend. Joan was a wonderful, kind, friendly lady. She was always ready with a smile to greet us each time we saw her. She spent many hours working with our sons at the bake shop of Dave and Sandra in Grand Bend and was always interested in what they were up to. Years after the shop closed she was still asking how the boys were doing. Her interest in our children and in our lives, showed what a caring, concerned, interested person she was in the lives of all she met. What a wonderful legacy she left her children and grandchildren to follow. God Bless.

I have many cherished memories of Aunt Joan, both long ago and fairly recently. One, particularly, I treasure is a trip to Florida in the late 80s. I was able to visit Jack and Joan at their place in Marathon. Aunt Joan cooked us a fabulous fish dinner ( fish Jack had caught) and a wonderful , authentic, key lime pie.!! Always kind and generous. Rest In Peace dear Aunt Joan. You are loved.
