Obituary of LAURA ROSALIE CAREY

CAREY:  Peacefully, at Exeter Villa Nursing Home, with family by her side, on Sunday, December 10, 2017, Laura Rosalie (Masse) Carey of Mount Carmel, age 100.  Beloved wife of the late Hubert James Carey (1983).  Loved mother and mother-in-law of Paul Carey of Mount Carmel, Margaret Girard of Windsor, Donald and Margaret Carey of Mount Carmel, Patrick and Mary-ann Carey of RR 2, Lucan, Geraldine Carey of Windsor.  Cherished grandma of Tracey Girard, Brian Girard, Catherine (Rod) Bustamante, Stephen Micallef, Philip (Jessica) Carey, Maureen (Michael) Barclay, Janet Carey, Michael Moore, Caroline (Jeff) Van Lith, Julia Moore and Lydia Moore and great-grandma of Darnell Girard, Victoria and Andrew Bustamante, Laura  and Caitlin Barclay, Lochlan  and Reese Van Lith.  Dear sister and sister-in-law of John Masse of Windsor, Donald and Sheila Masse of Chatham, Norman and Terri-Lou Masse of Detroit, Geraldine Ducharme, Monica Masse, Stella Masse all of Windsor.  Remembered by her many nieces, nephews and their families.  Predeceased by her parents Paul and Jane (Geromette) Masse, daughters Rosalie Carey (1970), Theresa Carey (2003), Irene and Charles Micallef (both in 2014), siblings Patrick, Dennis, Ernest, Gerald (Rita) Masse, Louise (Leonard) Parent and Rita (Mac) Fry (Don Meloche), brother-in-law Sam Ducharme, sister-in-law Liz Masse.  Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. with CWL prayers being offered at 7:30 p.m. followed by parish and family prayers being offered at 7:45 p.m.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Mount Carmel on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.  The Rev. Fr. Len Desjardins Celebrant.  Interment Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Cemetery, Mount Carmel.   The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Steciuk and the wonderful staff at Exeter Villa Nursing Home for their compassionate care of our mother.  If desired, memorial donations, (payable by cheque) to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
