Obituary of Raymond Gordon Rumming

RUMMING:  Peacefully, at London Health Sciences Centre – Victoria Hospital, London, on Monday, June 24, 2019, Raymond “Ray” Gordon Rumming of Grand Bend, age 71.  Beloved husband of the late Sandra “Sandy” Louise (Keller) Rumming (2013).  Loved father and father-in-law of Jeffrey Rumming, Jennifer and Ken Tiffin and step-father of Andrew and Pam Patterson all of London.  Cherished grandpa of Tyler Tiffin, Haylie Tiffin and Kyla Rumming.  Dear brother and brother-in-law of Nancy Warner and Bob Stewart of Goderich, Judy Desjardins of London and Paul Keller of Smith Falls.  Fondly remembered by his companion Daun King of Avon Park, Florida, the Patterson grandchildren and their families.  Predeceased by his parents Gordon Frederick and Ruth Madeline (Matthew) Rumming.  At Ray’s request, cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Ray’s Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 498, Grand Bend on Friday, July 5, 2019 from 1 to 4 p.m., with words of Remembrance at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Dr. Kate Crawford Officiant.  Private Interment Grand Bend Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood.  Ray retired after a 33 year career with the City of London Fire Department, retiring as a Platoon Chief.  If desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
