Dear Carolyn and family,
My sincere sympathy on the passing of Anita. She was a wonderful lady and I know she will be missed greatly. I remember all the wonderful get togethers at Mary's farm and even a visit with Anita and Bob in Florida. I'm sure you have many wonderful memories to hold close to you at this very sad time.

Arriving to live in Hensall in the early 60s, I was keen to attend the local Brownie Group, along with my classmates. I was new to the Guiding Movement, while my peers were soon ready to 'fly-up' to Guides.. Mrs. Cook offered to tutor me privately, to have me ready to 'walk up' to Guides, along with my friends.
Dad was renovating the Cook's country estate home at the time and while he worked, I would enjoy the special attention that Mrs. Cook bestowed on me.
It was obvious that she loved children and I was so in awe of her beauty...she glowed in happiness...a wonderful example to the many young ladies she led.
Our sincere condolences to Carolyn and her family and to all who loved Anita Cook.

We enjoyed many visits with Anita & Bob when they brought clothes for alterations. We always had tea or coffee & some sort of sweets…they would bring donuts or something I had here. Bob would tell stories of their early years, Cooks mills, different things every visit and never a dull moment!
We have missed seeing them.
