Obituary of Francis Pius Regier

REGIER:  Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, at London Health Sciences – University Hospital, London, on Saturday, May 6, 2023, Francis “Frank” Pius Regier of Exeter, recently of London and formerly of Dashwood, age 93.  Beloved husband of Doreen Marie (Overholt) Regier.  Loved father and father-in-law of Judy and the late Lloyd Van Horn (2019) of Chatham, Bonnie and Ted Taylor of Dorchester, Barbara and Paul Dutton of Victoria, B.C., Patricia Scholey, the late Brian Scholey (2015) and Art Ferland of Mississauga, the late Wayne Regier (2022) and Jamie McLeod of Centralia, Randy and Nancy Regier of Zurich, Larry “Sam” and Julie Regier of Exeter, Kevin and Brenda Regier of Zurich, Norman and Barbara Regier of Dashwood.  Cherished grandpa of 27, great-grandpa of 37 and great-great-grandpa of 1.  Dear brother-in-law of Clarence and Theta Overholt, Marie and Charlie LaPorte, Joe and Jan Overholt and Gerard and Ann Overholt all of London.  Remembered by his many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Peter and Loretta (Denomme) Regier, siblings and in-laws Lesslee “Lee” and Rose Marie Regier, Lennis and Alma Regier, Ann Marie and Fred Dean, Victor Regier, Elva and Ted Taylor, Milford and Blanche Overholt, Beatrice Overholt, Wilfred and Martha Overholt, Norman and Rose Marie Overholt, Victor and Jacquie Overholt and Jean and Jerry Cooper.  Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood with Visitation on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 4 to 8 p.m., with Parish and Family Prayers at 3:45 p.m.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Precious Blood Roman Catholic Church, 200 Saunders St. W., Exeter, on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 11  a.m.  The Rev. Fr. Tony Laforet Celebrant.  Interment Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Cemetery, Mount Carmel.  If desired, memorial donations (payable directly) to Precious Blood Building Fund; the Canadian Cancer Society; the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
