Obituary of James Alfred Klaehn

KLAEHN:  Peacefully, at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, Strathroy, on Thursday, September 19, 2024, James “Jim” Alfred Klaehn of Grand Bend, formerly of Listowel and Kitchener, age 87.  Beloved husband of Barbara Louise (Kechnie) Klaehn.  Loved father and father-in-law of Chris Klaehn of Grand Bend, Scott Klaehn of Waterloo, David Klaehn of Kitchener and the late Cindy Klaehn (2018).  Dear brother and brother-in-law of Joanne and Jerome Reiber of Kitchener and Carol Ann Klaehn of Kitchener.  Remembered by his nieces, nephews and their families.  Predeceased by his parents Louis and Margaret (Rosecat) Klaehn, siblings and in-laws Dorothy and Ken Hartung, Carla and Cliff Pitz, Gerald Klaehn, Louis and Sharon Klaehn.  At Jim’s request, cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held.  Jim was a Firefighter with the Kitchener Fire Department for 30 years and retired with the rank of Captain.  Arrangements entrusted to the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood.
