I will forever remember you ("Ma") & the internet "Pyramids Game" that seems like a lifetime ago. She became the one we all knew as our cornerstone in "Joh". I was known to her as "Gold" &/or "golden retriever girl". So many of us from that "room" became virtual friends, many just to "hangout" & "visit". I treasure the time some of us gathered "in person" at her campsite several years ago & met her & members of her family. We came from Wisconsin, Texas, Illinois, Minnesota, Pennsylvania & of course Canada & made our "virtual friends" & "Ma" become "real". I cannot believe she is gone - it just doesn't seem "real".
Rest in peace "ma". I will never forget you.

Dear Bill and Candace. Words do not describe how heart broken and sad that I lost a long time friend in Cheryl. When I first starting camping in Port Bruce, you Bill, and Cheryl were the first people there to introduce yourself, and stayed my great friend all these years. I remember my grand kids growing up with Justin and Candace. And myself watching Cheryl grand kids grow up. I will always remember the good times myself and others had sitting by the bomb fire, drinking, laughing, and sometimes crying. Cheryl was there for so many people. She was there to laugh, give advice, sometimes when you did not want the advice, but I would always listen, We laughed alot, . Cheryl was a good mom, and grandma. She took her grandkids every other weekend, even when she was not feeling good this summer, she still took them. It brought great joy to see her grandkids come to visit and sometimes stay over nite. Jayce, Abel, and Colson was her pride and joy. I know for a fact that they will miss their grandma, just as everyone else. Candace you were your mothers pride and joy, she loved to see you and kids at the trailer, or watchin Abel play soccer. I know Candace this will be hard on you at this time of your loss, but you have many friends, and of course you have Bill to help you through this, as well as Micheal. And now you Bill, everyone knew how much you and Cheryl loved each other. I still remember you bringing flowers for Cheryl, and when asked what the occasion was , your reply was because I love her, and just because. You were always there to help Cheryl though out the years. I know you will be missing her each and every day. But, Cheryl is at peace now, no more pain from her legs, and stomach, etc. Cheryl is now in heaven with her baby boy Justin, and others she loved. Just know Bill and Candace, that Cheryl will never be forgotten, she will be alive in all of our hearts, and by our memories, and our stories we will continue to tell about her life. Cheryl rest in peace my good friend, tell Justin hello. Big hugs to the whole family. My deepest sympathy., going miss that lady.

She was a staple of my childhood in Port bruce. So many good memories. Truly blessed that it came full circle and she became a staple in my children's childhood in Port bruce. The campground will never be the same without you. May you rest in heavenly peace and rejoice in the presence of your son Justin.

Cheryl was the grandmother to the son Justin and I share. She has been there since the second that beautiful boy was born and hasn’t missed a weekend seeing him ever. When Jayce was 1.5 Justin and I decided to go our separate ways and Cheryl picked that baby up every other weekend and kept him for weeks on end in the summer. When his father unexpectedly passed Cheryl and Jayce leaned on eachother and she really helped him heal and grieve. Cheryl was a second mother to me for a very long time and helped me navigate obstacles with Jayce. I’ll forever be grateful for the extreme amounts of time and effort she put into help raising Jayce. Jayce considers her his person and his absolute best friend. We will miss her every single day and I pray she finds peace next to her Babyboy. I promise I’ll take care of Jayce and make sure he grows into the man we all want him too. We love you Cheryl. From the bottom of my heart I’m so grateful for you xoxo

Our condolences to her family and all who knew her. She was one of the best people we ever met. She welcomed us into her home during summers and winters with love and endless laughs. We met and became friends with everyone she knew. So many memories. So many conversations ... most of which were gibberish on her end ... which made it all the more fun to poke at her.We watched her raise her kids. Worry about being an empty nester. The thrill of becoming a grandma, then a great grandma. There is no doubt this woman was cherished, loved and will be greatly, greatly missed.
