Our sympathies at the passing of your father, nonno, and our friend. We have known each other for many years, from opposite sides of Parkhill. On occasion we would have to exchange mail, incorrectly delivered. In Italy, the mail is addressed with surname first, hence Nirta Lucio and Facchina Lucio. We didn't meet until Lou's truck service provided rescues or repairs. It was when we both moved to Parkhill, 14 some years ago, that we got better acquainted. He even took us for a ride to show us the farm where you all grew up, and with pride, showed off and reminisced about the fruit trees and vast vegetable garden, and the "greenhouse" (sunroom). In town, he continued working in his picture-perfect garden, where critters faced massive challenges to rob, and weeds did not escape his daily inspection and instant removal! We so enjoyed his impromptu visits, short though they might be, while he was out for his daily walks. Vince was always happy when he had a meal to prepare and share with his family... he was a super cook! We heard that someone was coming or had been .. and they ate it all! At his encouragement, we got to meet the Rui family not far from our families in northern Italy--- what an experience, especially the ride in the Landrover up to the "cottage" in the mountains! and the view from there!!! A smile and a chuckle that one can't forget. RIP Vince.

We became friends with Vince in Cuba. We spent a number of winters together. He had such a fast easy smile and warm welcome for everyone. We shared many a meal together. And many a laugh. He will always hold a place in our hearts. Our deepest condolences to his family.
